Vincenzo Laricchia is one of the major exponents of the Neapolitan school of vedutist painters starting from the Eighteenth century to our time. Born in Naples in 1940, at present, he lives and works in Sorrento, a place of such a great inspiration to whom paints coasts and seascapes, terraced gardens in flower overlooking Amalfi and Positano; and has the passion to exalt places of great naturalistic charm too, as the Amalfitan coast side. Vincenzo Laricchia is deeply immersed in this reality, a condition that most inspires his painting and gives him to go into the study of the tonalities and of the light effects; changing continually point of view and, above all, painting from real life, in which he's able to express the deep calm of these places. He is painter of a complete experience and of great mastery of craft in the use of colours, as is evidenced, observing his wooden board: clear and delicate like his works; from the warm coloured landscapes to the nebulous Parisians of the bistrots of and its snowfalls.
